What to Expect When Renting an Office Trailer

From first call to move-in day. Here's the typical timeline and what you need to have ready.

Typical Timeline

1

Day 1 — Quote

You tell us what you need. We spec the trailer, support equipment, and service schedule. Quote back within 4 hours on standard requests.

2

Day 2-3 — Site Prep

You prepare the pad, access road, and utility connections. We send a site prep checklist specific to your equipment package.

3

Day 4-5 — Delivery

Trailer and support equipment arrive on a flatbed or with a spotter truck. Standard delivery is 1-4 weeks from PO. Rush delivery available in 24-48 hours.

4

Day 5 — Setup and Connection

We level the trailer on blocking, connect water, waste, and power, test all systems, and walk you through operations. Setup takes 2-4 hours depending on equipment.

5

Move In

Your crew moves in. Regular service starts on the agreed schedule — water refills, waste pumping, generator maintenance, and supply restocking.

How Delivery Works

This is the most common question from first-time renters: the trailer arrives on a delivery truck (flatbed or spotter), is positioned on your prepared pad, and leveled on scissor jacks or blocking. The delivery truck then leaves.

The trailer is not left sitting on a hitch or on wheels. It sits on blocking or jacks, level and stable. The hitch area is accessible for utility connections. Once placed, the trailer does not move until pickup day.

For multi-trailer setups, deliveries may happen over 1-2 days depending on equipment availability and site access sequencing.

Site Prep Checklist

Have these ready before delivery day. If any of these are not possible at your site, let us know during the quote process — we have solutions for most situations.

  • Level pad: Compacted gravel, asphalt, or concrete. Minimum 4-6 inches of compacted Class 5 gravel over geotextile fabric if building a pad. Must support equipment weight without settling.
  • Access road: 12 feet wide minimum, 14 feet for larger trailers. 14-foot overhead clearance. Check for low-hanging utility lines and tight turns on the route.
  • Power source (if using shore power): 30-amp or 50-amp service within 50 feet of the trailer location. If no shore power, we provide a generator.
  • Water source (if using city water): Standard garden hose hookup within 100 feet. If no city water, we provide a Water Box.
  • Service vehicle access: Pump trucks and fuel delivery trucks need a clear path to the equipment throughout the rental period. Do not block with stored materials.
  • Drainage: Slight grade away from the trailer in all directions. No standing water under or adjacent to equipment.
